Salary: Up to £29,746 per annum, pro rata

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Early Years Placement Assessor. It is essential that the postholder is qualified to meet the current needs of the Team. Duties:

  • To assess individual learners in childcare settings on the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and Level 3 Early Years and Education courses.
  • Ensuring that the learners are successful with all elements related to their mandatory work placement
  • To support and document the assessment process
  • To liaise with the teaching team and the setting supervisor.

 

Skills/Experience:

  • Up to date qualifications and  knowledge of the sector 
  • Ability to support young learners at each level
  • Proficient in the use of IT for management of student’s attendance and timetabling of hours for working with the varying age groups they are required to achieve as stated in the course specification.

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Assessor qualification (essential)
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Education
  • Knowledge of community, social and voluntary provision within the wider HE economy
  • English and maths to at least a level 2

 

Ideal Attributes:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work off of own initiative and able to solve problems
  • Ability to travel independently across sites ​
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • To be flexible with working hours to meet the learners work placement requirements
