Salary: Up to £24,035 per annum
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week

We currently have an opportunity for a flexible and committed individual to assist the Estates and Health and Safety Managers in providing an effective facilities and maintenance service across the South Hampshire College sites. The Team aims to provide the highest standards of customer service in general caretaking to all College staff, students and visitors.

Duties:

  • To provide building and site operations across mechanical and electrical systems and plant rooms.
  • To provide support with Emergency Services, in evacuations, lock downs and with first aid.
  • Complete grounds maintenance duties.
  • Manual handling of college equipment and deliveries.
  • To provide site security.

Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent customer services.
  • Able to deal with challenging situations.
  • IT skills - MS Office and Outlook.
  • General DIY skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Current driving license at Cat B and Cat D.
  • MIDAS trained (preferable but can be provided)

  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to follow College procedures.
  • Team working.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude to work.
